The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) – Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course will be offered at the the Wardel Family branch of the Beaufort County YMCA in Port Royal on Saturday &
Sunday, March 20-21, 2010.

If you are interested and want to take this course you will need to be
registered and paid in full NOT LATER THAN FRIDAY, 19 FEBRUARY, 2010.  Please put this date on your calendar in ALL CAPS and red ink.

In order to conduct the course there needs to be a minimum of 15 students enrolled, so please help out and start spreading the word.  Get a partner, bring your best friend, co-worker, spouse, significant other, or your 16 years old or older son or daughter.

If you are really serious about becoming more confident in your first aid skills and knowledge, please call Rick Simmonds at the YMCA (522-9622) and add your name to the growing list of interested students who have already indicated that they want to attend.

As before, this is not a fund raiser or for profit, it is simply a fantastic course being brought to the Lowcountry by outdoor-minded people who want others to have a great training opportunity without having to leave town to get it.

“When 9-1-1 is not an option, the rules change … plain and simple!”
