Keep your gear smelling great with vinegar!

A solution if your synthetic tops, long underwear, or socks begin to gain a smell that wont seem to go away or comes back as soon as you put them on is to soak them in diluted vinegar overnight to kill all of the smell causing bacteria. This is a great trick for vibrams, sandals, or any gear that seems to always get a unpleasant smell.
The reason for the smell is that most synthetics have no natural anti microbial properties so the bacteria that creates the smell can grow more easily on these products, and cold washing does not always kill them. So don’t throw out those old shoes, just soak them in diluted vinegar overnight, and wash. The smell should be solved!
Hope that helps!
